September 25th, 1999. The Cactus Corvair Club usually has an annual autocross event which also accepts entries from other clubs such as the SCCA. Further sweetening the deal, it was at Tempe Diablo Stadium where there are no restrictions with regards to cameras. Not one to pass up such an opportunity, I took my 35mm camera as well as my Sony Handycam to get some good footage of the event.

Since it wasn't part of any series and there were no trophies being awarded at the event, I didn't really take notes or save a track map. It was a fun event though and I got a lot of good pictures of the cars driving around. Tage Evanson took some pictures of my car and Matt Berend shot video of me. If you visit my Video Library you can download an MPEG of my car and a few others running around the track.
